TRENDITION – Clothing without border

Our aim is to create a community which preserves folk art traditions, carry on national costumes, and make clothes, shoes and accessories that meet today’s expectations on both the Hungarian and Slovak sides. We would like to draw attention to these values, we want to show how traditions can appear in everyday clothing, the wearing of which is traditional and trendy. The twelve creators were able to spend two fantastic weekends together, where they could get to know each other in person, show off their work, techniques and share experiences. The created production (dance and fashion show) – also appearing in the film – is suitable for expressing the spirit of the movement while promoting it and presenting on high quality the renewed Hungarian and Slovak dress culture at Slovak and Hungarian events. In order to successfully implement the project, we present that the past, the traditions, the world of motifs appear in the present, in our way of dressing nowadays.
